At first contact, the idea of the Dashies was often met with rejection. “That won’t work anyway,” was one initial reaction. And then very quickly came ideas about how to forge Dashies or that people could be forced to make Dash not for themselves but for their oppressors. Altogether a predominantly destructive approach. Why is that, really? Are we as a society so suspicious that we basically don’t give new ideas a chance? Are we fundamentally afraid of change?
